Alma Wiegand

My husband, Ken, and I have been homeowners in Summit County for almost ten years and became full-time residents four years ago. We relocated here from the Northern Virginia, where we worked and raised our family. In my past life, I was a Senior Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton managing software engineering projects. During our (almost) 25 years in Northern Virginia, I volunteered with numerous organizations: PTA president, secretary-treasurer, and communications chair (6 years); HOA vice-president and secretary-treasurer (4 years); Boy Scout den mother and awards committee chair (4 years); Girl Scout assistant den leader (3 years); elementary school classroom assistant (5 years); high school after prom committee (2 years); and DC/MD/VA ALS board member (10 years). In addition, I served as vice-president/education chair of a local investment club, evaluated grant requests for a (charity) giving circle, and basically provided ad hoc support whenever necessary to support my children’s activities. We have enjoyed living in Summit County and I look forward to becoming a productive member of this wonderful community
