Arapahoe Basin Beach Party

Arapahoe Basin Beach Party

April 2nd, 11:30 AM - ?

The annual Arapahoe Basin Beach Party on Monday, April 3, beginning at 11:30 AM with optional skiing before and/or after. If you wish to join us, please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert item to share; the main course of barbeque will be catered by A-Basin and Loosey Goosey will provide water, wine and beer. Weather permitting, the party will be held outside on “The Beach” so please bring your food item in a dish heavy enough to prevent blowing off a table, serving utensils, and a chair to sit in. In case of bad weather, we will be in-side the A-frame on the second floor, in which case, due to Colorado liquor laws, we cannot provide the group’s wine and beer, but if desired, you will be able to purchase same at the 6th Alley Bar. If you missed the Awards Party on March 23, you can find both the Most Improved Skier/Boarder and the inaugural Nancy Macey Spirit award winners on our website http://looseygooseyski.com/ or Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/LooseyGooseySki/. We will resume newsletter entries in October with information about the 2017-18 ski season. Have a great, safe summer.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels

The mission of Mountain Meals on Wheels is to provide healthy and nutritious meals to adults of any age who are homebound and unable to prepare their own meals due to health issues. Meals are prepared in a commercial kitchen located at the Summit County Community & Senior Center. Meats are delivered in insulated bags to ensure a safe temperature is maintained. This program is heavily reliant on volunteer drivers, who deliver meals Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays around noon. Drivers are required to have their own vehicle, and be able to pass a criminal background check. If you are interested in driving for this program, or for more information, please email Rob at rob.rumrill@summitcountyco.gov. This is a year round volunteer opportunity.
